General-purpose AI chat, tuned for fast, capable answers
Smart AI is the console’s general-purpose chat mode — tuned for fast, capable answers across everyday tasks, backed by the same multi-provider failover router.
Smart AI is the console’s general-purpose mode: the one to reach for when a task doesn’t need a specialized prompt structure, just a fast, capable answer. You type a question or task in plain language, and the request is routed through Agent X’s multi-tier failover chain — Gemini, Groq, and OpenRouter — which tries a primary provider first and automatically retries the next tier if that one errors out, hits a rate limit, or is temporarily unavailable. That routing happens transparently, mid-response, so you never have to notice or manually switch providers yourself. Because it carries no specialized system-prompt behavior, Smart AI is also the mode most people default to for everyday drafting, quick explanations, and one-off questions, before switching to a more specialized mode like the Social Media & Ad Copy Generator or Agent X Brain for a task that needs it.
Both share the same underlying failover router. Smart AI is tuned as the console’s general-purpose, capability-first default, while Standard Chat is the plainer baseline with no extra tuning layered on — pick whichever fits how you want the responses to feel.
Smart AI runs on the same multi-provider chain as the rest of Agent X — Gemini, Groq, and OpenRouter — with automatic failover between them so a single provider outage doesn’t stall your session.
No. Smart AI selects and fails over between providers automatically. You can bring your own API keys (BYOK) if you want usage billed to your own provider account instead.
